Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Job Title Maintenance Mechanic Location St. Joseph, MO (Pear Street)
Shifts:
1st Shift (6:30am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm) and 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:00am). Overtime and weekends may be required. Weekend shift +$0.50/hr. Paid weekly on Fridays. What We Offer
- Competitive starting pay $32.89/hr. with contractual progression and shift premiums, $33.79 for 2nd & 3rd shift

- Troubleshooting and repairing machinery and facility equipment
- Repairs machines, jigs, fixtures, gauges and fits replacement parts and/or makes replacement parts as required
- Must be able to do electrical, plumbing, heating and roofing repairs
- Must be able to read schematics and electronic blueprints
- Must be capable of servicing and operating rectifiers
- Must be capable of operating precision hand tools and electronic equipment
- Adjusts machines for production when adjustment is beyond the scope of operator
- Maintains and installs piping, fittings, valves, gauges and all types of controls for hydraulic systems, gas and air lines
- Requires ability to set up and operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, power saws, welder, etc.
- Makes periodic checks of machines and equipment and performs preventive maintenance as required; i.e. oils, greases, etc.
- Performs carpentry and sheet metal work in fabricating and repairing benches, guards, boxes, trays, etc. Additional Information

- Basic math, reading and writing skills
- Able to work in a fast pace environment, multi-task, and track workload
- Able to read and schematics and blueprints
- Able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Must be able to wear required PPE (if applicable)
