Duct Installer

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Duct Installer to join our dynamic HVAC team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing ductwork systems that ensure optimal airflow and energy efficiency in commercial and residential buildings. Your expertise will help deliver comfortable indoor environments while adhering to safety standards and building codes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your technical skills, and contribute to high-quality HVAC solutions. Responsibilities Install, modify, and repair duct systems according to schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans Measure and cut ductwork using hand tools and power tools with precision to ensure proper fit and function Connect ductwork to HVAC equipment such as air handlers, furnaces, and ventilation units Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical systems, electrical diagnostics, and refrigeration components within duct systems Perform system maintenance, including cleaning, sealing leaks, and verifying airflow performance Assist in the installation of building automation systems that control HVAC operations Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants Qualifications Proven construction experience with a focus on HVAC system installation and repair Service technician experience working with mechanical systems, electrical diagnostics, or appliance repair is highly desirable Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, HVAC design principles, and building automation systems Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including boilers and ammonia refrigeration is a plus Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; van driver experience preferred EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required or obtainable upon hire Additional certifications in electrical systems or property maintenance are advantageous Join our team to build a rewarding career in the HVAC industry!
