Job Summary:

Responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Performing routine maintenance around the building, fixing structural damage, for example, windows, doors, or wall repair, which would include dock doors. Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures. Maintaining the building HVAC thermostats to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly. Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems. Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries. Painting as required. Assembles, installs, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment. Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, and forklifts. Operates a boom/scissor lift to repair lighting and perform routine maintenance at 60' heights. Conducts inspections of fire protection system and HVAC system. Oversees/participates in routine facility custodial work. Maintains MSDS and other facility records to ensure facility remains in OSHA compliance. Assists with special projects and other general office tasks as needed. Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Management Team.
