A Brief Overview The Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for maintenance, repair and upkeep of all material handling, plant, and mobile equipment for the Distribution Center. Leadership Responsibilities This position does not have people leadership responsibilities. What You'll Do Support the Distribution Center by ensuring all departmental and plant equipment is functioning properly to facilitate employee safety and productivity. Perform preventive maintenance as directed on all assets. Repair and maintain all equipment and the building promoting a safe environment and ensuring the useful life of all physical assets. Assist as directed in annual inventory of assets. Assist in maintenance of parts inventory, auditing of performance of equipment and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on lift equipment, conveyors, plant equipment, storage media and minor repairs associated with electrical, plumbing and HVAC. Adheres to all company policies and procedures Embodies and demonstrates company ethics and values Abides by all federal, state and local laws How You'll Be Successful Computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to communicate with system support teams via phone and email Manual dexterity required: Must be able to have manual dexterity required using hands to finger; handle, feel and type; reach with hands and arms Must be able to see, hear, speak and read in order to communicate with other employees and/or other customers. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb ladders, frequent lifting Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus What You'll Need H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent work experience required 3-4 years Industrial maintenance experience in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment required Experience with TGW, Hytrol and Roach high speed conveyors, warehouse sorting systems and various lift equipment required Intermediate reading and troubleshooting of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and ladder logic required Intermediate knowledge of electrical controls including 480 and 230 volt circuits , pneumatics and hydraulics required Intermediate skills in welding and fabrication required Intermediate understanding of PLC operations required
