Summary :
The Maintenance Mechanic role is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment to support safe, efficient operations. Key responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, lockout/tagout compliance, and coordinating with vendors while meeting safety and quality standards. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed is required.
Responsibilities :
Maintenance Responsible for the upkeep and running of all production and non-production equipment facility wide, while maintaining safety and quality. Responsible for preventive maintenance program insuring completion of general inspections. Utilize maintenance work request and safety programs. Work with vendors to accomplish needed requirements. Responsible for lock out tag out of equipment. Responsible to inform appropriate personnel of any unsafe or possible damaging conditions that exist. Ability to use various hand tools and support equipment. Capable of lifting 50 lbs. Responsible for performing any additional requirements that may be needed to comply with a maintenance task in a safe manner. Work weekends and overtime as needed. General Communicate project and maintenance status updates to affected departments and team members. Follow and comply with all company procedures and/or policies set forth by Voith. Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and rules.
Required Skills/Abilities:
High School graduate or equivalent. 2 year degree in a maintenance field or equivalent work experience. Valid driver's license. Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems. Computer skills preferred. Blue print and electrical diagram reading preferred.
