Overview:
Goldin Metals is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team! This position is full-time, working day shift primarily Monday through Friday. This role is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of production equipment, machinery, and facilities at our manufacturing facility in Gulfport, MS. The ideal candidate can troubleshoot independently, respond quickly to equipment issues, and is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize production downtime Maintain plant facilities, including lighting, plumbing, doors, and general building repairs Inspect, service, and maintain forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment Keep accurate maintenance logs and report recurring equipment issues to the Production Manager Maintain an organized inventory of parts, tools, and supplies, and notify management when reordering is needed Assist production staff with equipment setup and changeovers as needed Follow all company safety policies and wear proper safety equipment Performing other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required Prior industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and blueprints Experience with hand and power tools; welding and basic fabrication a plus Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane Dependability and reliability Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical ability to work in an active production environment and frequently lift up to 50lbs
