Commercial Door Technician Patrick Allen Companies Location:
Meridian, Mississippi Job Type:
Full-Time Join Our Team Patrick Allen Companies is seeking a dependable and motivated Commercial Door Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, service, and repair of commercial overhead doors, loading dock equipment, hollow metal doors, automatic door systems, and related products. No prior industry experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Responsibilities Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial overhead doors and related systems Perform maintenance and repairs on dock levelers, dock seals, dock shelters, and loading dock equipment Install and service hollow metal doors, frames, hardware, and access systems Diagnose mechanical and operational issues and perform necessary repairs Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and company vehicles Read and interpret work orders, installation instructions, and technical manuals Complete required service documentation accurately and timely Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations Qualifications Required Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Strong commitment to workplace safety Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to learn new skills and work in a team environment Dependable attendance and punctuality Excellent customer service and communication skills Preferred Experience with commercial doors, dock equipment, or construction trades Experience using hand tools and power tools Welding, electrical, or mechanical experience CDL license or willingness to obtain one (if required) Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly Ability to work at heights using ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in physically demanding environments Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to safely use tools, equipment, and machinery Benefits Patrick Allen Companies offers a competitive benefits package, including: Competitive pay based on experience Paid Time Off (PTO) Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Company-paid Life Insurance
