General Description:

The maintenance technician will have strong mechanical and electrical trouble shooting skills. Have a background that includes pneumatics, hydraulics, reading schematics and blueprints. Perform routine and extensive range of work in the repair and general supervision. They execute work within established procedures and process under both verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities:

Does routine preventive maintenance and ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently. Diagnosing and maintaining mechanical systems, equipment and controls is essential. Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as blow molders and presses. Replaces damaged or broken wires and cables. Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors and positions sensing devices. Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors. Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts and assemble new equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

High School or GED Minimum of one to three years maintenance technician experience. Skills Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product , process and quality system Identify and record problems relating to the product, process and quality system Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
