Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Holiday Inn & Suites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment by performing a variety of maintenance tasks. This role demands a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and address issues proactively. Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including welding, fabrication, plumbing, and HVAC work. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document and track maintenance activities. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems effectively. Assist in coordinating repair schedules and supervising junior maintenance staff as needed. Perform facilities maintenance, including electrical testing, diagnostics using tools such as Ohmmeters, and general upkeep. Complete residential painting projects and other aesthetic maintenance tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience (minimum 2 years ) in maintenance roles with expertise in plumbing, electrical, and construction. Familiarity with CMMS systems for efficient maintenance tracking and reporting. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints for troubleshooting and repair. Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills, with a focus on safety and compliance. Supervisory experience or skills to guide and support junior technicians. Basic electrical knowledge and proficiency in using testing tools such as Ohmmeters. Experience in residential painting is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and guest interactions. Relevant certifications or licenses in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing fields are highly desirable.
