Job Description
Join a skilled, supportive team working to ensure safe and reliable water and sewer service for our community. Maintenance Technician - perform and coordinate the daily maintenance and repair of the District's water and wastewater systems. This position plays an important role in ensuring safe, reliable, efficient, and regulatory-compliant operations through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, technical expertise, and coordination of field activities. Position Highlights Competitive pay and excellent benefits Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on water and wastewater facilities, equipment, and infrastructure Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, valves, piping, mechanical equipment, and related systems Assist with facility, equipment, and asset maintenance Work with SCADA, PLC, and other operational control systems Coordinate with operations staff to support safe and reliable District services Respond to maintenance needs and emergency situations as required Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED 3-5 years of experience in water and/or wastewater operations and maintenance Valid driver's license Applicable Montana DEQ Water and Wastewater certifications for the systems being operated Preferred Qualifications Additional experience with water and sewer systems Experience with facility and asset maintenance management Experience with SCADA or PLC systems Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and reliable public service Application Information Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
