We are hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to handle the day-to-day repair work across that portfolio. This is not an apartment complex job. You will not be sitting in a shop waiting for a ticket. You will have a company van, a stocked parts inventory, a schedule built for you, and a route of homes to work through. We are looking for someone who can walk into a house, figure out what is actually wrong, fix it right, and move on to the next one.

Pay:

$30/hour, or $32/hour if you hold a current EPA 608 certification. If you don't have it, we will pay for you to get it and move you to $32 when you do. What the work actually looks like A normal week includes plumbing (toilets, fill valves, shower valves, drain clears, faucets, supply lines), electrical (outlets, switches, fixtures, GFCIs, breakers), appliance troubleshooting and swap-outs, drywall and paint, doors, locks and hardware, light carpentry, mini-split cleaning and diagnostics, water heaters, and exterior work like gutters and railings. A large share of the job is multi-item punch lists on homes between tenants — a list of ten or fifteen items in one house, worked start to finish. We do not ask you to do work that requires a contractor's license. When a job crosses that line, you flag it and we bring in a licensed contractor. What we're looking for Three or more years of hands-on residential repair experience, or an equivalent trade background Real breadth. A typical day touches plumbing, electrical, and carpentry Comfortable working independently across multiple properties in a day Valid North Carolina driver's license, clean driving record, insurable on a company vehicle Your own hand tools. We provide the van, the specialty tools, and the power tools Comfortable running your day off a smartphone: work orders, photos, time entry Able to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders, in crawlspaces, and in attics Clears a background check and drug screen Nice to have, and worth money to us: EPA 608 certification, mini-split experience, plumbing depth, prior property management experience, conversational Spanish. What we offer $30/hour, or $32/hour with EPA 608. Paid twice per month. Company van and fuel card.
