Tanglewood Park is seeking a motivated individual that would be interested in working in a part-time year-round position. Schedule Work shifts and schedules will be varied due to seasonal operational requirements. Works in all weather types and fills in if vacancies arise. January

Distinguishing Features All applicants should have the following knowledge, skill and abilities: Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public. Ability to independently adhere to a time schedule. Ability to maintain order and ensure compliance with rules. Ability to operate and care for power equipment and hand tools. Ability to inspect and report needs for repairs. Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds. Minimum Education and Experience Graduation from high school or GED and one year experience in basic building or grounds maintenance A valid driver's license is required. Must have demonstrated ability to safely operate small to medium motorized equipment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for the minimum requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform duties associated with maintenance of park grounds such as mulching, mowing, line trimming, backpack blowing, spreading gravel, repair fencing, leaf removal, snow removal, trail maintenance and general grounds maintenance tasks. Direct interaction with park patrons and will provide information and instruction to guest that are utilizing park facilities and assist with requests to ensure that facility is acceptable for rental period. Assist maintenance staff with the completion of small projects and work requests such as picnic table repair, staining, fencing, painting, maintaining public picnic shelters, cleaning public restrooms, replenishing public restroom supplies, trash removal, pet waste stations, pressure washing, cleaning of public grills, lock and unlock access gates and facilities. May assist with duties associated with special event preparations and clean up. Assist with the installation and dismantling of light displays for the annual Festival of Lights.
