Full-Time Job Summary:
Microtech Knives is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, machinery, and overall work environment. The Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair equipment, perform facilities maintenance, and handle janitorial duties to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections of the facility, identifying and addressing any issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Oversee the maintenance and repair of building structures, including doors, windows, flooring, and roofing. Assist with the setup and teardown of equipment and facilities for company events and meetings.
Machinery Maintenance:
Conduct regular preventive maintenance on production machinery to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective parts on CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and other manufacturing equipment. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and scheduled services.
Janitorial Duties:
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all facilities, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Perform regular cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal. Restock supplies in restrooms and break rooms as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Proven experience with facilities maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Hands-on experience with machinery maintenance, particularly with CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment.
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery. Proficient in using hand and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Capable of standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods. Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature changes.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications in maintenance, HVAC, or related fields are a plus.
