Job Description
Overview We are seeking dependable, self motivated Maintenance Technician to maintain our 50 family owned residential rental properties throughout Four Oaks, Smithfield, Selma and Clayton, North Carolina. This position is responsible for completing routine maintenance requests, diagnosing repair issues and ensuring our properties remain safe, functional and well maintained for our residents. Duties
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Diagnose and repair common residential maintenance issues, including Plumbing repairs (leaky faucets, clogged drains, running toilets, etc.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance as needed.
- Inspect properties and report any additional damange to management.
- Keep management updated on the status of maintenance requests.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with tenants.
- Operate company vehicle safely for maintenance tasks at different locations.
- Perform apartment cleanouts and repairs to prepare for new tenants. Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential maintenance, handyman work, construction, remodeling or a related trade.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, appliences and general home repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.
- Ability to determine when a specialists is needed.
- Dependable, organized and able to manage multiple maintenance requests.
- Ability to lift at least 80 pounds and perform physical work including climbing ladders, kneeling, bending and working outdoors.
- Valid driver's license with experience operating a company vehicle. Preferred Experience
- Rental property or apartment maintenance experience preferred. Compensation and Benefits
