Job Description

Cypress Glen is the only Life Plan/Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Eastern North Carolina. If you would like to make a difference in someone's life, Cypress Glen is the place for you!! We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate must be dependable and a highly motivated team player.
Responsibilites:
Assess and, when qualified, perform repairs on equipment of the main building energy center, to include chillers, air handlers, actuators, compressors, boilers, water heaters, and the cooling tower. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all HVAC systems, annual coil cleaning and quarterly filter changes. Perform basic plumbing repairs as well as installation of plumbing fixtures i.e. Toilets, faucets, sinks, etc. Maintain required documentation related to the maintenance of building operational systems. On call for emergencies. Participate in fire drills. Keep the facility safe and clean. Maintain the exterior grounds and property as may be required. Snow removal. Serve as First Responder. Will provide immediate first aide care to residents/employees and visitors in accordance with guidelines of the Heart Saver First Aid Course. (See First Responder Policy) Adhere to Corporate Compliance as stated in the Standards of Conduct Adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding the Protected Health Information (PHI) of the residents and employees
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age, due to exposure to chemicals and potentially hazardous equipment. One to three years' experience preferred. Knowledge and compliance with building codes, life safety codes, and other applicable regulations a plus. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Must have a valid NC Driver's License.
