POSITION SUMMARY

​Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment used in manufacturing, production, and industrial facilities. Will help ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. The Lead Maintenance Technician is a high-level technical and leadership role responsible for ensuring the operational integrity, safety, and efficiency of the facility. This individual serves as the primary technical expert for complex repairs, coordinates the daily workflow of the maintenance team, and leads the transition from reactive repair to predictive maintenance. ​

LEADERSHIP & ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

Workflow Coordination:

Assign and prioritize daily tasks for maintenance and schedule task with production personnel to ensure maximum uptime. ​

Strategic Scheduling :

Coordinate with Production leadership to schedule critical maintenance and inspections during planned product changeovers or equipment downtime to maximize facility throughput." ​

Project Leadership:

Coordinate facility outages, equipment installations, and "shut down" maintenance windows. ​

Mentorship:

Train and develop junior technicians in the use of precision tools, safety protocols, and standard shop equipment. ​

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed logs of equipment repairs and downtime. Present technical reports and parts-inventory needs to the Supervisor. ​

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

​

Advanced Diagnostics:

Analyze and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues with minimal assistance. ​

System Overhaul:

Service and rebuild advanced components including air/hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valve assemblies, and motion elements. ​ Preventative Maintenance (PM): Develop and perform PM tasks, including machine lubrication (agitators, gearboxes, motors), alignments, and safety checks.

Internal Infrastructure & Rigging Oversight:

Lead and perform complex facility projects—including industrial plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and the precision rigging/anchoring of heavy machinery—while providing direct technical supervision to internal maintenance technicians to ensure all installations meet structural and safety standards.

Safety Leadership:

Act as the lead for OSHA compliance, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), fall protection at heights (6ft+), and confined space entry. ​

REQUIRED SKILL SETS

Precision Tooling:

Expert use of gear pullers, precision levels, alignment tools, calipers, and micrometers. ​

Power & Shop Tools:

Proficiency with mag drills, hydraulic presses, bandsaws, torches, and welders. ​

Heavy Equipment:

Ability to operate forklifts and lifting equipment (hoists, chain falls, come-alongs). ​

PLC Knowledge:

Efficient PLC understanding (troubleshooting I/O controls and sensors). ​

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and work at elevated heights or confined spaces. ​

QUALIFICATIONS

​

Experience:

5+ years of industrial maintenance ​

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certifications are a plus. ​

Communication:

Strong oral and written communication skills for reporting and team coordination.
