Maintenance Technician Position Summary:

Courtyard by Marriott - High Point is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in High Point, NC. This person will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all equipment in a commercial building.

Requirements:

A minimum of an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience is required. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to follow instructions and recognize problems on equipment or its operation. Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and controllers. Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.) Conduct general upkeep procedures, (e.g. landscaping, wallpaper repairs, knowledgable with tools preferably electrical tools, snaking drains, not afraid of heights.) Other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, plumbing, repairs, perform Room Preventative Maintenance on guest rooms etc.) Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team environment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more. Must be able to work in all weather conditions and outdoors. Must be able to travel when necessary to different locations.
