THIS IS A PART-TIME OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED TECHNICIAN OR ANYONE INTERESTED IN LEARNING A TRADE AND WORKING OUTDOORS DURING ALL SEASONS. WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT APPLICANT. About the
Role:
A SwimScapes Pool Technician will be asked to handle a variety of responsibilities but mostly you will be focused on water chemistry management (using LSI ), and cleaning the pool interior and skimmers/pump baskets/etc on a weekly or biweekly basis. Beyond these duties, our pool technicians are also responsible for providing excellent customer service and meeting client needs as specified for each individual pool and/or spa. Our technicians may be asked to perform any of the following tasks while other tasks may be assigned: Must be able to lift 50lbs easily; Must have current VALID driver's license & no recent violations/DUI's .

Specific Duties Expected of Pool Technician. Cleaning the customer's pool of all debris Accurately and precisely test pool water with equipment provided. Entering all data in our tracking system accurately and honestly, while making corrections to water chemistry safely and properly at each visit. Clearing pool's surrounding area of debris or moving patio furniture when necessary Providing chemical treatments to restore to or maintain water at correct LSI levels, including pH, alkalinity, hardness, stabilizer, salt & chlorine levels Basic maintenance and/or repair of pool filtration equipment As required: Installing, cleaning, repairing equipment such as filters, pumps, chlorinators and heaters & more. Observing equipment for proper functioning, effectiveness and safety Covering pools for winter & uncovering for spring (occasionally, as requested) Opening pools for summer (cover removal, cleaning and balancing pool, etc) Examining pool lining for potential issues (you will be taught what to look for) Replacing pool lights or other equipment (if interested, not mandatory) Keeping accurate and precise records at each visit of swimming pool maintenance & supplies/chemicals Interfacing with clients on specific pool needs and maintaining a 5-star attitude, presentation and willingness to go above and beyond. Educating pool owners about proper maintenance and safety procedures Communicating all pool-related issues that require further attention to management in a timely manner, while doing so clearly and effectively. Transportation may be provided once employee receives training and is cleared by management to begin their own route.
Expected hours:
6-8 hours a day, beginning at 7:30am and ending when route is completed. Other duties may arise but this list is the basic breakdown of the requirements of our Technicians.
