Job Description
Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations. This role supports production goals by minimizing downtime and maintaining equipment reliability in a fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement timely repairs Conduct inspections to identify potential equipment failures and recommend proactive solutions Ensure all maintenance work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation Support installation, modification, and upgrade of equipment and systems Collaborate with production teams to address equipment-related concerns and minimize operational disruptions Respond to emergency maintenance requests during assigned shifts Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with 5S and safety practices Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment preferred Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, and troubleshooting techniques Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work (NIGHT SHIFT) 6pm - 6am, 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required Work Environment Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, noise, and machinery Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of tools for extended periods Must adhere to all safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Additional Information This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and supporting production efficiency at the Nutec Huntersville facility. Candidates should be adaptable, safety-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
