  • Friday work week 8:30AM to 5:00PM Consistent, year-round work Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Access to a company truck for work assignments Performance-based bonuses Company credit card for approved job-related expenses Flexible scheduling options Ongoing training and career advancement opportunities What Success Looks Like On a day-to-day basis, you will travel to residential job sites across the Outer Banks, servicing Kitty Hawk, Duck, Southern Shores, Currituck, Corolla, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, and Manteo.
No two days are exactly alike. You'll tackle a variety of residential repair and improvement projects ranging from small repairs to larger multi-day carpentry and restoration projects. You will act as a trusted advisor to homeowners, discussing their needs, outlining the work, and completing jobs efficiently. Over time, success in this role means building lasting relationships with local clients who specifically request you for their next project. You will help maintain our reputation for reliability, cleanliness, and exceptional craftsmanship, helping our locally owned branch grow while developing your own multi-trade expertise. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of residential repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects with a focus on quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Install and repair interior and exterior doors, windows, trim, and other finish carpentry elements. Diagnose and complete structural and cosmetic wood rot repairs using proper building practices. Complete drywall repairs, texture matching, interior and exterior painting, flooring repairs, and other general carpentry projects. Perform light plumbing and electrical work, including fixture replacements, faucets, toilets, ceiling fans, switches, and outlets. Build and repair decks, stairs, railings, fencing, siding, and other exterior components. Troubleshoot issues in the field, identify the root cause, and communicate repair options clearly and professionally with homeowners. Work independently while managing your schedule, materials, and job progress efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite while treating every customer's home with respect. Document work performed, communicate job updates, and complete photos, notes, and material purchases using our easy-to-use mobile systems.
Qualifications What you must have:
Demonstrated professional experience in carpentry, residential remodeling, or general home maintenance. A positive attitude and an encouraging spirit. We believe every interaction is an opportunity to make someone's day a little better. A genuine desire to serve others and treat every customer with kindness and respect. Solid hands-on skills across multiple trades (drywall, carpentry, basic electrical/plumbing, etc.). A standard set of professional hand and power tools for everyday repair work. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong customer service skills—you are friendly, respectful of people's homes, and communicate clearly, consistently, and effectively. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Nice-to-haves:
Prior experience in project estimation, sales, or working with permitting and building codes. Experience working with coastal property maintenance or vacation rental repairs.
