Minimum of 2 years of experience in either service or installation is required Mechanical and technical skills, with a willingness to learn new techniques Physically able to move items weighing 75 lbs or higher, and lift garage door panels above the head. Able to stand on a ladder for extended periods Possess interpersonal skills to relate to customers and solve issues Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment Able to self-manage and work independently as well Reliable and Self-motivated This is a full-time, W2 position. Eligible for group health, dental, vision, and PTO benefits. Must have a driver's license with a clean driving record, pass criminal and drug screening

Summary:

Due to continued growth, Skylift Garage Doors is adding a Residential Garage Door Installer to our team. This position will focus on new construction installations. As our installer, you will be responsible for the installation of residential garage door systems. Installers typically visit multiple homes each day - and no job is ever boring. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. To be successful in this role, you will need to be organized, efficient, and have practical problem-solving skills. You will be interacting with our customers daily and having patient and respectful behavior is a must as you are representing our garage door company to the greater Raleigh area.

Responsibilities:

(This list may not include all the duties assigned) Install new garage doors and garage door openers for residential customers. Educate customers on parts and services Assemble mechanical components Adjust and test equipment to ensure optimal performance Repair or replace worn or broken door parts using hand tools Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair Install hardware or other garage door fixtures
