Maintenance Technician (3rd shift) Matcor Metal Fabrication - 3.0 Lexington, NC Job Details Full-time $27.28 - $33.46 an hour 6 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Digital multimeters Schematics Moving High school diploma or GED Programmable logic controllers Welding repair Ability to follow instructions Hand tools Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Responsible for coordinating repairs and scheduling maintenance for all mechanical equipment and for organizing the prints and parts needed to work on such equipment. Ability to follow instructions, able to be self-directed during shift to complete task without supervision. Basic electrical knowledge (understand 120-480v). Welding experience required and required to pass CAT certified welder test and
CAT 7STWE
training (both in house). Will be trained to perform maintenance on CO2 Lasers and Robot Welders. Examples of facility equipment - Press brakes, Levelers, Hoists, Conveyors, Paint Department equipment, Restroom fixtures, Lighting fixtures. All general maintenance facility repairs/improvements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Successfully handles all maintenance job duties as assigned. Must have all basic tools -hand tools needed, multi meter and knowledge to use. Complete work on machinery and building as needed. Maintains and repairs all types of mechanical machinery and related plant equipment. Ability to replace equipment motors when needed. Moves and sets machinery and equipment. Orders parts and maintains an inventory of frequently-used or otherwise critical parts. Schedules preventive maintenance for machinery and equipment. Demonstrates superior knowledge, skill, and reliability in handling day-to-day maintenance issues/opportunities. Maintains a well-organized parts list, repair manuals, schematic prints, etc., as needed to maintain and repair equipment. License/certifications in repairing electrical machinery and equipment helpful in this area but not required. Knowledge of PLC's a plus but not required. Performs all other duties as assigned by supervision. Ability to travel for training if offered. Must have reliable transportation for last minute work hour/shift changes if needed. Ability to work all 3 shifts/OT if needed as required by supervision temporarily or extended periods of time.
