In this energetic position, you will leverage your expertise in CNC programming to produce high-quality components using advanced machinery. Your technical skills and innovative mindset will drive efficiency, accuracy, and excellence in our manufacturing operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to contribute to cutting-edge metal machining projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Develop and write CNC programs for various machines including CNC lathes, milling machines, and 5-axis CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, GibbsCAM and other engineering CAD design tools. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with precision measurement instruments like bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Set up machining tools and fixtures on CNC equipment, ensuring proper tooling selection based on geometry and material specifications. Optimize machining processes by applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve cycle times while maintaining quality standards. Perform precision measurement and quality control checks throughout the machining process to ensure parts meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications. Troubleshoot machining issues related to geometry, tooling, or machine performance; adjust programs or setups accordingly. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, inspection reports, and process improvements for continuous enhancement of manufacturing workflows. Experience Proven experience programming CNC machinery such as CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, or 5-axis CNC machine in a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency with Fanuc controls and CAM software for efficient CNC programming and machining operations. Solid understanding of mechanical blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and the use of precision measurement instruments like micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMMs. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for engineering design and schematic review. Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and eliminate waste. Ability to interpret schematics, geometry data, and technical drawings accurately while maintaining high standards of quality control through precise measurement techniques.
