Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Garage Door Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of garage doors and related hardware. Your expertise will ensure that each project meets safety standards, building codes, and customer expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills and construction experience in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. You will work directly with customers to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance safety and functionality for residential and commercial clients. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain garage doors, openers, springs, cables, rollers, hinges, and tracks using hand tools and power tools Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and building code requirements to ensure precise installation and compliance Conduct electrical work related to garage door openers, including wiring and fixture installation Perform metal stud framing, caulking, welding, and other construction tasks as needed for secure installations Use carpentry skills for door hanging, fixture installation, and building custom components when required Heavy lifting of garage doors and hardware safely while following proper safety protocols Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and maintenance tips clearly to clients Experience Proven experience with garage door installation or repair in a construction or handyman setting Mechanical knowledge of door systems, springs, cables, electrical components, and hardware Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, saws, as well as power tools like impact drivers and welders Construction site experience with metal stud framing, carpentry, or general building projects Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints for precise installations Knowledge of building code compliance related to garage door systems and electrical work Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various work environments Join us to bring your construction expertise and mechanical skills into a rewarding role where every day presents new challenges!

$17.00 - $30.00 per hour
