Job Description

Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maintenance Technician to join our Technical team in Mebane, North Carolina. You will ensure an optimal technical operation of the packaging and processing equipment by performing corrective maintenance and making systematic improvements. The maintenance tech will model our TOP values, cooperate and collaborate with production and other teams, and respect safety, quality, and efficiency requirements throughout the plant. This is a nightshift position, working 6:30 pm to 7:00 am onsite, on a 2-2-3 shift regime. Due to the set shift schedule, you must have the ability to work weekends, weekdays, and holidays, as needed, without accommodation. Performs corrective maintenance according to prescribed guidelines and procedures Performs hands-on intervention in cases of malfunction of packaging and processing equipment and utilities Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems Changes, adjusts, and fine-tunes packing machines, processing equipment, and other machines in the factory Monitors products after changing the machine settings or other maintenance activities, in consultation with bakers, doughmakers, or line operators and line leads Participates in the development and implementation of technical projects Ensures effective spare parts inventory management Reports unsafe situations or near accidents and assist in the development of preventive solutions Performs calibration activities Supports the overall tidiness and cleanliness of the technical team facilities and work areas
Requirements:
EDUCATION
Associates degree in mechanical engineering technology, industrial systems technology, electricity/electronics, electrical engineering technology, machining, or pneumatics is preferred High school diploma or GED is required
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
Computer literacy required Prior experience with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); knowledge of Ultimo a plus Must be able to perform duties following all regulatory GMP food hygiene practices
EXPERIENCE
Prior work experience in a food processing or food production environment strongly preferred Proficient in the maintenance of production equipment Basic electrical knowledge and repair experience Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of mechanics and basic troubleshooting Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining robotics and/or industrial automation, pneumatic conveying systems, and flow wrapping machines strongly desired Able to read blueprints Forklift/lift truck experience
LANGUAGE
English fluency required (verbal and written) Conversational Spanish helpful but not required
