Restaurant Maintenance Technician

Tar Heel Capital Corporation, a Wendy's Restaurant Franchisee, opened its first Wendy's restaurant in Boone, North Carolina back in 1977. Job description Install, diagnose, calibrate, repair and/or perform preventive maintenance on commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC systems. Skill-sets should include the ability to: Diagnose commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment performance such as fryers, grills, coolers and ice machines through observation, testing and setup. Disassemble and re-assemble equipment to perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, calibration and/or repair. Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring instruments to perform service of the unit. Operate a company motor vehicle as evidenced by past driving performance record and to adhere to all company safety requirements. Work independently, under pressure, and without close supervision; willing and able to consistently work the schedule required by job demands.

Requirements:

High school graduate/GED/or equivalent Good driving record and valid NC Driver's License Minimum 2 years experience with servicing commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration equipment such as Walk-in Coolers, Ice Makers, and Reach-in Refrigerators. Good customer service skills. Must be able to meet on call requirements when scheduled for evening and weekend overtime service calls. Proficient with basic computer skills.
