Job Description

Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment, machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and facility infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in supporting safe, reliable, and efficient operations by responding to equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance. The Maintenance Technician works closely with production and other team members to diagnose problems, complete repairs, maintain preventative maintenance schedules, and promote safe work practices throughout the facility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other equipment-related issues to minimize production downtime. Dismantle, repair, replace, and install defective or worn machinery and equipment components. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, transformers, controls, and electrical/electronic components associated with machinery and equipment. Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including piping, gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related components. Perform and support preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment is properly maintained and scheduled maintenance is completed on time. Inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential failures and recommend corrective or preventative actions. Assist with training production employees on proper equipment maintenance and safe work practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Operate welding and cutting equipment, including torches, to fabricate, repair, modify, or join metal components as needed. Perform repairs and general maintenance to the physical structure and infrastructure of the facility. Identify required parts, materials, tools, and equipment needed to complete maintenance and repair activities. Initiate purchase requests for replacement parts, supplies, machinery, and maintenance-related equipment. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Communicate equipment issues, completed repairs, and maintenance needs effectively with production, management, and other maintenance personnel. Perform other maintenance-related duties and projects as assigned. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical systems repair. Demonstrated ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for troubleshooting complex equipment issues. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair including air conditioning units and ventilation systems. Knowledge of kitchen equipment maintenance and appliance installation is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repair and maintenance across diverse systems. Experience operating company vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws and safety standards. Construction experience or familiarity with building maintenance projects is a plus. $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
