This is a key position within our service department. You will be responsible for answering incoming service calls, scheduling and dispatching technicians, communicating with customers, and helping coordinate our field service operations throughout the day. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment and can effectively communicate with both customers and field technicians. Responsibilities Answer incoming customer service calls and emails Gather information from customers regarding service needs Create and manage service work orders Schedule and dispatch field service technicians Coordinate technician schedules based on location, availability, skill level, and service priority Communicate job information and schedule changes to technicians Monitor technician schedules and open service calls throughout the day Handle emergency and priority service requests Keep customers informed regarding scheduling and service status Schedule return visits when additional repairs or parts are required Follow up with technicians regarding completed work orders, job notes, photos, and paperwork Maintain accurate customer and service information within our service management system Assist management with day-to-day service department coordination Help ensure service calls are completed efficiently and customers receive a high level of service Qualifications Previous customer service, scheduling, dispatching, or service coordination experience Strong telephone and customer-service skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable communicating with field technicians throughout the day Ability to manage changing schedules and priorities Strong computer and data-entry skills Professional written and verbal communication Dependable and able to work independently Strong attention to detail Preferred Experience Previous experience scheduling or dispatching technicians for a field-service company is strongly preferred. Experience in any of the following industries is a plus: Commercial doors and hardware Overhead/garage doors HVAC Electrical Plumbing Locksmith Fire and security Facilities maintenance Commercial construction Other field-service trades Commercial door experience is not required. We are primarily looking for someone who understands how to coordinate customers, technicians, schedules, and service calls. Compensation $20.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on experience Full-time position Benefits available for eligible employees. What We're Looking For The right person for this position is someone who can take ownership of the service schedule. You should be comfortable answering the phone while simultaneously managing technician schedules, handling customer requests, adjusting for emergency calls, and making sure technicians have the information they need to complete their jobs.
