Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a Facilities Technician II for a full-time role that offers an opportunity to support facilities maintenance on the LL Polk Campus in Polkton, NC. This position reports to the Director of Facilities in Anson County, works closely with all members of the department in the repair and maintenance of college facilities, and is responsible for the completion of work requests assigned and general care of the facilities and grounds.

Essential Duties Summary Responsible for cleaning and maintaining all facilities (buildings) and properties (grounds, equipment, cars, etc.). Assist with security of facilities. Assist with special events including set up and clean up. Look for and report facility and property problems. Perform routine maintenance such as painting, plumbing, mechanical and electrical repairs. Perform a variety of laboring duties as assigned. Ability to be on call or work evenings if needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent A valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to lift and place at least 70 lbs. on an ongoing basis Ability to climb and work from a ladder Knowledge of general maintenance Preferred Qualifications Ability to work independently and with people from diverse backgrounds A helpful demeanor Self-motivated and well-organized Good judgment skills Physical Demands Ability to lift and place at least 70 lbs. on an ongoing basis Ability to climb and work from a ladder
