Your Community's College Toggle navigation Home Search Jobs Log In /Create Account Help Finance & Administrative Services Support Specialist Bookmark this Posting Print Preview | Apply for this Job Posting Details Position Information Job Title Finance & Administrative Services Support Specialist Job Description The Finance & Administrative Services Support Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt position based primarily on the LLP Campus in Polkton, North Carolina, with travel between Union and Anson counties as needed. This position provides comprehensive administrative and financial support to the Finance & Administrative Services department. Key responsibilities include preparing funding requests, preparing accounts receivable invoices, grant-related financial reports, and insurance documentation. The position also supports risk management, vehicle fleet administration, financial transactions, audits, and other business office functions. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong administrative, organizational, analytical, and computer skills; knowledge of Business Office procedures; excellent attention to detail; and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The position requires an individual who is self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and committed to providing timely, professional, and customer-focused service. Essential Duties Summary
- Provide administrative and financial support to the Associate Vice President of Finance & Administrative Services as needed.
- Prepare and submit funding requests for local funds from Anson and Union counties.
- Prepare and process non-student related accounts receivable invoices.
- Collaborate with program staff to prepare and submit grant-related financial reports and documentation.
- Serve as the primary contact person for college risk management and insurance matters including general liability, property, vehicle, student insurances, and other insurance coverage.
- Coordinate the acquisition and maintenance of vehicle tags, titles, and insurance for all college-owned vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records and inventory of the college's vehicle fleet.
- Conduct business office outcome audits, assessments, and related reviews.
- Prepare daily deposits for the Finance Office and transport deposits to the bank as needed.
- Serve as a backup cashier to assist with daily transactions.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries and provide timely, professional customer service.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in office systems technology, accounting, business administration or a related field and one year of related business experience OR three years of related business experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, administrative, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and administrative information.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and respond effectively to questions and requests. Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience working with various types of insurance coverage.
- Extensive experience with spreadsheets and financial data.
- Previous experience working in a college, educational institution, or similar administrative environment.
