This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong handyman skills who enjoys solving problems, completing a variety of repair projects, and taking pride in quality workmanship. The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure our facilities remain safe, clean, and well-maintained for employees, tenants, and visitors. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on buildings, grounds, and facility systems. Complete general handyman repairs including drywall, painting, carpentry, doors, windows, flooring, trim, and minor concrete repairs. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues such as leaking faucets, clogged drains, running toilets, and fixture replacements. Perform minor electrical repairs including replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures, bulbs, and breakers while following safety guidelines. Repair and install locks, hardware, shelving, cabinets, and other building fixtures. Assemble, install, and repair furniture, equipment, and various property components as needed. Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively. Read work orders, maintenance manuals, and basic diagrams to complete repairs accurately. Maintain detailed records of completed maintenance work, inspections, and materials used. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations. Assist with renovations, remodeling projects, and general property improvements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures. Qualifications Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician , handyman, building maintenance technician, or in a related maintenance role. Strong knowledge of general building maintenance including carpentry, painting, plumbing, drywall, and minor electrical repairs. Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs independently. Experience using a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and preventative maintenance is a plus. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond efficiently to maintenance requests. Ability to safely operate company vehicles and maintain a valid driver's license. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Construction, remodeling, or property maintenance experience is highly preferred. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
