Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician at Kellanova, you'll keep our high-speed snack and cereal production lines running safely and efficiently. In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems; troubleshoot breakdowns; and support equipment changeovers and installations. You'll partner closely with production and engineering teams, follow strict food safety and LOTO standards, and contribute to continuous improvement that protects quality, uptime, and team safety in our inclusive, performance-driven culture. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and support continuous operations Conduct inspections, calibrations, and basic repairs on conveyors, motors, pumps, and related systems Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders to diagnose and resolve equipment problems Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and upgrades Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment status in CMMS or maintenance logs Collaborate with production, safety, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and line performance Follow safety, quality, and food manufacturing standards including lockout/tagout and GMPs Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce unplanned outages Assist with facility repairs and general upkeep as needed Required Skills Industrial equipment maintenance Mechanical repair Basic electrical troubleshooting Pneumatics and hydraulics PLC awareness and I/O diagnostics Reading schematics and technical drawings Welding and fabrication basics Preventive maintenance planning CMMS usage and documentation Lockout/tagout and safety compliance
