Job Description

Available Shifts We are currently hiring for the 2nd shift, running from 3 pm to 11 pm, and the 3rd shift, which operates from 11 pm to 7 am. Core Responsibilities Support the Maintenance Supervisor with the upkeep and enhancement of plant grounds, facilities, and machinery. Identify and resolve issues with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure maximum operational uptime. Execute scheduled preventive maintenance to keep operations running smoothly and on track. Handle the installation and bending of rigid and EMT conduit up to 2 inches, alongside general electrical repairs. Replace and install various electrical parts, such as relays, limit switches, overloads, contactors, and motor controls. Provide technical support for industrial control systems and assist with controller programming. Ensure all maintenance logs, work orders, and necessary documentation are filled out with precision. Work alongside production leadership and various departments to boost equipment reliability and overall efficiency. Oversee external contractors to guarantee that maintenance initiatives are finished safely and adhere to project timelines. Foster a secure and organized workspace while assisting fellow production and maintenance staff. Adopt and implement modern maintenance strategies and technologies to drive improvements in plant output. Required Qualifications Completion of a High School Diploma or GED is mandatory, with vocational or technical training viewed as a plus. At least one year of hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of die-casting equipment within a factory setting. Fundamental computer literacy skills. Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics. Familiarity with industrial hardware, including welding tools, vacuum systems, exhaust fans, sump pumps, air compressors, hoists, ladles, heaters, and furnaces. Expertise in mechanical repair and systematic troubleshooting. Strong English verbal communication skills, with a preference for bilingual English/Spanish speakers for our Illinois sites. A self-driven attitude with the ability to collaborate in teams or work autonomously. A commitment to staying updated on industry standards and emerging maintenance technologies. Compensation The hourly pay rate for this position is between $25 and $28.
