The person in this position will be responsible for performing a variety of work in the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings and grounds at various facilities and sites on our 40-acre campus, for a duration between one month and several months. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Minor construction and repairs including carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, and electrical Maintaining HVAC equipment Groundskeeping to include mowing, weed eating, tree trimming, spraying, picking up pinecones, etc. as well as maintaining equipment Maintaining clean, safe, and orderly work sites Other duties as required

Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma or GED At least 2 years of experience in maintenance work HVAC experience is a plus Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked Physical requirements include standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs or ladders, working at heights, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, crouching, kneeling, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment, seeing to observe needed repairs, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to push or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
