Job Description

Purpose of Position:
This position will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of warehouse and production equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and food packing equipment. In this role, will also perform general plumbing, welding, and other mechanical maintenance services. Purpose of position : This position will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all warehouse and production equipment at the facility. In this role, we will also perform general plumbing, welding, and other mechanical/electrical maintenance services as needed.
Accountabilities:
  • Perform routine repair and maintenance work, predictive and preventive inspections.
  • Perform routine repair and maintenance work on pallet jacks, forklifts, production equipment and systems, and plumbing.
  • Perform installation and design of equipment used in production.
  • Perform minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, and/or general building maintenance, etc.).
  • Must have work experience in mechanical, electrical, and general building maintenance.
  • Must have experience with circuit control and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Must be available to work night shift, weekends, and holidays.
  • Communicate equipment needs and necessary repairs with production team, which will allow sufficient time to adjust production schedules accordingly.
  • Execute jobs assigned by supervisor in a timely manner and review any issues with the Maintenance Supervisor to avoid delays.
  • Assist in completing other service requests as needed.
Minimum Skills Required:
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of prior work experience, specifically related to maintenance.
  • Valid Driver's License and excellent driving record, or an accredited Maintenance Course.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical, plumbing, general maintenance troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to drive a light truck, lift a minimum of 75 lbs., and able to work from rooftops 30 feet or higher.
  • Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
  • Knowledge and experience with controls, or an accredited course.
Preferred but not
Essential:
  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) experience.
  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification for refrigeration duties.
