Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Maintenance technician is responsible for the planning and completion of maintenance activities. The primary responsibility of this position includes the upkeep, repair, and setup/breakdown of manufacturing equipment. Other duties include facility maintenance for office, warehouse, and grounds.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine Maintenance Duties:
Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary Oversee and participate in routine machine maintenance, repairs, and installation activities Make recommendations for improving machine safety and efficiency Carry out inspections of the facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues Develop new machine lines and improve current ones as requested Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping machines and workstation neat. Follow safety and operation procedures, rules and regulations; ensure all machine work is conducted safely Other duties as it relates to this function
Office & Warehouse Maintenance Duties:
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems as needed Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems Perform manual repairs when necessary Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, electrical etc.) Cross-departmental duties are expected of this position- assist production team when necessary Other duties as it relates to this function
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Previous experience as maintenance technician or other similar role Working knowledge of facilities' machines and equipment Ability to lift and move heavy objects Ability to work autonomously in an organized fashion Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear) Experience using hand and electrical tools Physical stamina and strength
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems Current forklift license Pay is based on experience

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
