We are looking for a skilled plant Maintenance Technician at the I or II level to join our team at Extraordinary Manufacturing Company.

Role Details:

Industrial Maintenance Technician - multi-craft maintenance/electro-mechanical

Shift Timing:

11:00PM to 7:30AM (Sunday night through Friday morning)

Compensation:

$24.50 to $35.50 per hour, with additional pay for overtime.

Overview:

This role involves managing both reactive and preventive maintenance tasks to support our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for executing maintenance schedules, repairing machinery to ensure peak production output, and overseeing spare parts inventory. Candidates must be prepared to work a minimum of 40 hours weekly, including weekends and on-call rotations as necessary.

Core Duties:

Your primary responsibilities will include the following: Identify and fix issues with machinery and control systems, including AC/DC motors, drives, and auxiliary equipment. Participate in internal training initiatives to enhance your professional technical abilities. Identify, source, and procure necessary replacement components from vendors. Ensure the reliability of our CMMS by completing all maintenance and repair tasks promptly and accurately. Serve as the initial point of contact for equipment failures, escalating to Electrical Engineering when necessary. Assist in the execution of daily operational goals and management strategies. Collaborate on process improvements to boost overall production efficiency and enhance workplace safety. Partner with production personnel to guarantee the safe and consistent performance of all plant assets.

Required Competencies:

We are seeking candidates with the following technical knowledge: Expertise in utilizing electrical diagnostic tools like voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters. A solid grasp of how production equipment functions and its operational sequences. Ability to interpret complex mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical schematics. Familiarity with industry standards including NFPA 79, UL508A, and NEC. Strict adherence to established Lock Out Tag Out safety protocols. Comprehensive understanding of Arc Flash safety and personal protective equipment standards. Competency in applying mechanical math and electrical equations. Experience with industrial power distribution and 3-phase wiring systems. Practical experience with servo motors, drives, and AC/DC systems. Ability to diagnose and resolve issues within PLC networking and I/O. Technical training related to servo-driven motion control systems. Working knowledge of standard office software like Microsoft Word and Excel.

Background and Qualifications:

A High School diploma or Vocational certificate is mandatory. Experience in electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems is highly desirable. At least two years of professional experience in industrial maintenance and control systems. Foundational training in drive systems and PLCs. Prior experience with plastic manufacturing processes is considered an asset.
