Job Description

Job Summary The maintenance technician provides technical support, troubleshooting, and repair of facility equipment. Maintains assigned equipment, provides training to peers as needed. Responsibilities Monitor production areas to ensure proper functioning of assigned equipment and intervene for repairs as necessary Utilize all manner of hand and power tools to diagnose, adjust, maintain, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment Review work orders to ensure accuracy and maintain documentation of work performed Assist with installation of new equipment or modify existing equipment as required Provide training to peers as requested or needed by maintenance lead, supervisor, or training department Make suggestions for correctible measures when downtime results from mechanical or technical defects Attend maintenance meetings and trainings as required Identify opportunities for improvement and give feedback to supervisor about cost reduction, quality improvement and yield control Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications Required:
MUST have a minimum of 6 months industrial maintenance experience MUST be comfortable and experienced utilizing hand and power tools of all varieties MUST know how to accurately use and read a tape measure as well as industrial blueprints MUST have basic knowledge and safety understanding of electrical components MUST have knowledge of basic math, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and calculating percentages Skill in using a personal computer and various software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Ability to work in a refrigerated environment ranging from 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner with all plant employees, as well as third party vendors and contractors Ability to operate a forklift, scissors lift, or any other powered equipment or machinery as needed Ability to consistently practice and enforce safe working habits Ability to recognize safety risks and comply with all safety standards Ability to work with a group of technicians or autonomously with limited supervision Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays MUST be able to pass required physical including demonstrating your ability to lift the required weight for each position MUST be able to stand and/or walk for entire 8-hour shift MUST wear correct job specific PPE as designated by company policy
Preferred:
1. Associate's degree or higher in Mechatronics, Electrical, Welding or similar fields 2. Previous experience working with VFD's (Variable Frequency Drive) 3.
