Spanning nearly 9,700 acres of row crops and pasture and home to over 6,000 research and teaching animals, ENREEC plays a vital role in advancing modern farming. ENREEC is located close to Fremont, Wahoo, Yutan, Ceresco, and Mead and is just 30 minutes from Omaha or Lincoln. Join our team as a Facilities Operations Technician II, supporting construction, upkeep, and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment in an agricultural setting. As a Facilities Operations Technician II, you will: Perform maintenance and construction tasks associated with commercial and agricultural buildings. Assist in maintaining and repairing campus infrastructure systems. Keep our grounds safe and maintained. Operate and maintain a variety of construction and agricultural equipment and tools. Assist with setup and teardown for special events (e.g., tents, tables, chairs). Perform other duties as assigned or dictated by the needs of the facility. This position requires the ability to work in various weather conditions and may include occasional evening or weekend hours. Due to the size of the facility, a valid driver's license and ability to meet University driver eligibility requirements is required. Additional years of completed relevant education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis. Valid driver's license and ability to meet University driver eligibility requirements. Working knowledge of basic construction practices, tools, and equipment used in general facility maintenance. Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are preferred but not required: Working knowledge of or experience in any skilled trade(s) such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC , welding, refrigeration, concrete or similar.
