Maintenance Generalist 3rd Shift - Waverly, NE

Job Details:

Pay Range:

$22.35 - 31.95 based on experience with a $2/hr attendance incentive and a $3/hr Shift differential.

Hours:

10:00pm - 6:30am

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for performing as part of a team that maintains and repairs machines in a production setting, including preventive maintenance and identifying solutions to better meet performance goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

• Set up equipment or machines
• Adjust production machines and related equipment, according to maintenance schedule, manufacturer's service manuals and production tolerances
• Inspect machines and troubleshoot to detect potential malfunctions
• Replace repaired parts or install new parts to restore machine to operating condition
• Lubricate grease fittings and moving parts of machine and other preventive maintenance requirements as directed by supervisors
• Complete Preventive Maintenance and work orders in a timely manner
• Work within safety guidelines at all times
• Other duties as assigned

Frequently (1-10 lbs), Occasionally as required with assistance (up to 35-50 lbs.)

Other Physical Requirements:

o Frequently; bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder (2-3 ft.), crouch, kneel, push/pull, grasp

Physical Environment:

Continuously:

Working around moving machinery, working in a damp, slippery and cold environment (Below 40° F) o working around moving machinery, in areas with marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust and fumes, occasionally working at unprotected heights, around and amongst dead birds and a strong chicken odor, some tight or confined space areas

External Requirement:

Minimum of 6 months cumulative experience in industrial maintenance or auto mechanics. Education program completion or certification can be used in place of experience.

Rehire consideration:

A maximum of two previous Tyson employments to be considered and a 90 day waiting period,
