SUMMARY The world's leading producer of fine and ultrafine enameled copper wire has a new opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our high energy and dynamic team.

SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm PAY Training starts at a rate of $19.92 and increases to a maximum of $28.14 upon completion of training (typically 6 months).

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Grounds Maintenance Worker performs semi-skilled work in the maintenance, care, and modification of factory grounds and landscapes which includes the operation of electrically-powered and gasoline-powered groundskeeping equipment and machines, and the use of small hand and power tools or equipment in planting, cultivating, and trimming grounds and landscaping. The Grounds Maintenance Worker must understand written work orders and instructions as well as directions for the proper mixture, use, and disposal/storage of cleaners, solvents, chemicals, fertilizers and similar products used in groundskeeping. This position also requires the ability to change light bulbs, deliver supplies, materials, and equipment as needed, retrieves and document transfer of accountability of surplus property, provides custodial services, conducts hoist inspections, forklift battery maintenance, sander operation/maintenance and other duties as assigned. Employees in this job classification are designated as essential employees and must report to work as scheduled even during severe weather.

ENVIRONMENT

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis. Prolonged walking or standing, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching daily. Ability to access facilities and areas which may only be accessible by climbing stairs or by climbing ladders to a height of 20 feet. Must be able to move throughout assigned areas, as the work is performed primarily out-of-doors, year-round.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Skill in the proper operation and maintenance of grounds maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery is required. Takes responsibility for work done. Produces precise work with attention to all detail. Trustworthy and capable of independent work.

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent. Snow removal experience with 24/7 availability. Availability for the transportation of high-level employees to the airport and hotel. Must have a valid driver's license and qualify for a DOT medical card. Requires a full range of physical motion. Must pass pre-employment physical and background check.
