Job Description

Kendal at Hanover is a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community, employing over 300 staff members and home to 400 residents. Kendal at Hanover is seeking a Per Diem General Maintenance/Security team member to maintain security coverage for the Kendal community (building and grounds). Kendal is seeking somebody that will have Per Diem availability for a 3:00 - 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM shift on any day of the week (including weekends) at a minimum of 2 shifts per month.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Performs minor maintenance-related tasks as assigned; Making appropriate rounds as scheduled in the community, politely questioning any strangers on the premises; Completing rounds and performing routine operation checks of equipment and systems; Filling in the night log and incident reports; Assisting nursing staff with needs such as lockouts, fire alarms, and medic alerts; Responding to emergency needs for general services such as heating, lighting, water, and wastewater; The successful candidate will have: High School degree/equivalent Two years of relevant experience (required) and working knowledge in the craft areas Active driver's license (required) The ability to frequently stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and lift/move up to objects that are 50-100 pounds.
