Full Job Description Description:
Kamco Supply Corp. of Boston is New England's largest one stop source and distributor of commercial building products including acoustical ceiling systems, architectural doors and hardware, drywall, steel framing, insulation, and exterior systems. We are currently seeking a full time Automatic Door Technician with experience installing & servicing Automatic Doors and commercial door hardware. Includes High & Low Energy, Sliders and Swing Door units and associated Safeties, switches and all related door hardware. This position is within our Kamco Lock Solutions Division located in Londonderry NH. Service coverage area includes
NH, MA, ME & VT.
Qualifications:
Able to perform scheduled and emergency service calls for commercial clients as needed. Additionally, Install, repair and maintain commercial door hardware. Interpret a variety of instructions in written, diagram or schedule form. Ability to trouble-shoot mechanical and low voltage electrical issues with a variety of unknown variables. Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate & service equipment as needed. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present & communicate information to staff & clients.
Requirements:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Following all Kamco and general contractor policies, rules, and safety regulations. Correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn. Proper and safe use of a variety of power tools and hand tools. Ability to drive and use tools safely.
Skills:
AAADM Certification (preferred but not required) Heavy lifting up to 75lbs . Strong mechanical aptitude - Experience working with tool in a trade skill environment. Basic computer and technology experience including the use of apps, cellphones, and Microsoft Teams. Strong communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
