SUMMARY A
Mechanic is an individual that installs and maintains production machinery and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Work from blueprints, schematics, sketches, equipment service manuals, samples and general instructions. Troubleshoot equipment or processes not operating as intended to determine cause and corrective action. Disassemble equipment, remove and replace defective parts. Work with machine operators to understand equipment problems and attend to them. Repairs equipment Maintain equipment documentation. Communicates/coordinates verbally and or electronically with OEM's and other vendors as required. Other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing Ability to read blueprints and understand specifications PLC understanding & diagnostics ability Good problem solving skills Well organized Complex decision making skills EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Vocational school or training or equivalent work experience and (3) years practical experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
