Job:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance and assists with the repair, alteration, and modification of buildings, equipment, and facility systems throughout the hospital campus.
What You'll Do:
Perform a wide range of general maintenance duties in support of the Engineering Department, including changing light fixtures, resetting breakers, cleaning and installing light panels, and repairing sockets and wiring. Utilize proper techniques and equipment to install, maintain, and repair a variety of interior and exterior finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment. Maintain a continuous supply of medical gases by replacing tanks and coordinating reorders as needed. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and staging equipment while performing maintenance and repair tasks. Assist with general facility upkeep to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Who You Are:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of general maintenance experience required. Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred, but not required. Working knowledge of basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques. Ability to safely use hand and power tools and work at varying heights as needed.
