Floor Technician:
Perform proper floor care procedures, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing of hard surface floors. Operate industrial floor care equipment safely and effectively to clean and maintain all types of floor surfaces. Clean and maintain carpeted and upholstered surfaces using appropriate methods, including shampooing, vacuuming, spot cleaning, damp cleaning, and extraction. Perform routine maintenance and restorative care for all floor types to ensure a clean, safe, and polished appearance throughout the facility. Follow all safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory requirements while performing duties. Properly collect, handle, and dispose of municipal solid waste, infectious waste, and pharmaceutical waste in accordance with facility and regulatory standards. Report any maintenance, safety hazards, or equipment issues promptly to supervisory staff. Support overall housekeeping and environmental services operations as needed to maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Qualifications forFloor Technician:
Previous experience as a Floor Technician or in a related environmental services role preferred. Working knowledge of floor care equipment, chemicals, and maintenance techniques preferred. Ability to follow safety procedures and use appropriate precautions due to physical and environmental risks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
