Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM + Rotational On-Call Join a Mission-Driven Team Making a Difference! Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? Project Freedom is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to help maintain our vibrant, barrier-free apartment community.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performing general repairs and preventative maintenance (plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC filter changes, etc.)
- Turning over apartments for new residents
- Maintaining common areas, including laundry rooms and lobbies
- Landscaping, snow removal, and exterior upkeep (power washing, gutter cleaning)
- Managing tools, supplies, and coordinating with outside contractors when needed
- Responding to emergency maintenance calls on a rotating schedule
Position Requirements:
- 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in residential or apartment settings
- Solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
- Comfortable using power tools and handling paints, solvents, and gas appliances
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair toilets, outlets, light fixtures, and safety systems
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong time management, communication skills, and a positive, can-do attitude
- HVAC experience is a plus!
Physical Requirements:
