We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Showroom Manager / Inventory Specialist to oversee the day-to-day operation of our hardware store showroom while maintaining accurate inventory and helping our team perform at a high level. This position is responsible for keeping employees productive and engaged throughout the workday, ensuring customers receive excellent service, maintaining an organized and properly stocked showroom, and reinforcing company expectations regarding attendance, phone use, safety, cleanliness, and work performance. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is comfortable holding employees accountable, teaching and coaching team members, identifying areas for improvement, and taking ownership of inventory accuracy. Showroom & Employee Management Supervise and coordinate daily showroom activities to ensure employees remain productive and focused. Monitor employee performance, work habits, and productivity throughout the day. Make sure employees properly stock, face, organize, and maintain merchandise on showroom shelves. Ensure displays, shelves, aisles, counters, and work areas remain clean, organized, and presentable. Coach employees on proper procedures and provide ongoing training to improve their product knowledge, customer service, and job performance. Address performance issues promptly and communicate significant concerns to management. Inventory Management & Accuracy Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts. Compare physical inventory to system quantities and investigate discrepancies. Identify incorrect inventory quantities, misplaced merchandise, damaged goods, and other inventory issues. Correct inventory values in the system when discrepancies are verified and authorized. Research the cause of inventory discrepancies and communicate recurring issues to management. Ensure merchandise is properly labeled, located, stocked, and recorded. Help maintain organized inventory locations to make products easy to find and count.
