Job Description

Responsible for keeping the organization's facilities and equipment maintained by performing a variety of duties. Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and equipment. Performs regular inspections of machinery and equipment, carry's out preventative maintenance, and fulfills other duties such as building maintenance as assigned. Reads, interprets, and follows instructions and operation manuals. Respond to emergencies or urgent needs, be a team player and help with any facility task that comes up.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Performs repair, maintenance and inspections on off-site facility equipment including minor plumbing, electrical, heating/AC, paint and wallboard repair and any general maintenance needs as required. 2. Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate. 3. Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions. 4. Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery. 5. Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery. 6. Responsible for completing work orders to document work completed, parts used and par levels maintained. 7. Works with the Coordinator to prioritize work requests based on immediate needs and schedule. 8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. Experienced with use of tools and equipment 3. 3-5 years of prior experience
Preferred:
1. Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical or engineering specialties. 2. 4 years general maintenance experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
