Property Maintenance Technician | Reliable, Problem-Solver, Accountable Neptune, NJ | 102-Unit Residential Community Full-Time | Live-In Position | 1-Bedroom Apartment Provided On-Call Rotation | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Check this out- don't just click "APPLY." We're looking for a reliable, accountable problem-solver who is willing to work hard, learn, and jump in wherever needed . You don't need to know everything on day one. What matters is that you show up, take ownership, use good judgment, and are willing to learn and grow your skills. What You'll Own Technical Repairs & Troubleshooting Diagnose and complete plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general maintenance repairs Troubleshoot problems and determine the best solution—not just the quickest fix Handle resident service requests efficiently and follow through until the job is complete Know when to solve a problem independently and when to ask for additional support Preventative Maintenance & Property Care Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance throughout the 102-unit community Identify potential problems before they become bigger, more expensive issues Help maintain a clean, safe, functional, and well-cared-for property Take pride in the condition of the community and the quality of your work Resident Service That Makes a Difference Respond to resident service requests with urgency, professionalism, and respect Communicate clearly with residents about maintenance needs and repairs Treat every resident interaction as an opportunity to provide great service Understand that maintenance is about people as much as it is about fixing things Apartment Turns & Team Support Prepare apartments for new residents, including repairs, painting touch-ups, appliance checks, and final walkthroughs Work with the property management and maintenance teams to keep the community running smoothly Pitch in wherever you're needed and be willing to learn new skills Participate in the on-call rotation and be there for residents when after-hours issues arise What Makes You a

You treat residents with respect and understand that your work directly impacts their experience at home Top Skills Needed Heavy lifting: Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working hands-on throughout the day Electrical skills: Able to troubleshoot and perform basic electrical repairs safely Plumbing skills: Strong working knowledge of plumbing repairs and troubleshooting HVAC knowledge and general apartment maintenance skills Ability to diagnose problems and work toward practical solutions Willingness to learn additional maintenance skills and systems Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required The Live-In & On-Call Details This is a live-in maintenance position , and living on-site is a requirement of the role. 1-bedroom apartment provided as part of the position Primary work hours are 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation Be available to respond to maintenance emergencies when you are scheduled to be on call Being on-site means you can provide timely support to residents while also having your own private apartment Experience 3-5+ years of apartment, residential, or property maintenance experience preferred HVAC certification is a plus, but not required Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, painting, and general building maintenance preferred What We Offer Starting at $40K / year , based on experience 1-bedroom apartment provided on-site 15 days PTO + 8 paid holidays + 2 floating holidays + birthday PTO Medical, dental, and vision coverage through Aetna Industry training and certification opportunities Employee recognition programs, referral bonuses, and appreciation events 16 hours of paid volunteer time annually Employee of the Month recognition including bonus and additional paid time off If you're reliable, accountable, and the kind of person who likes solving problems instead of walking past them , we'd love to meet you.
